Happy Birthday to Gary

Today is Gary's birthday! While he doesn't like a fuss made over him, I will do my best to let him know he's loved and so very special to me. We'll be busy today enjoying some things and people that I can write about later.

I am sharing some pictures of my guy as he's moved through life to get to where he is today:

One of my favorite stories about his life before he met me was when he was dressed in a sport coat, slacks, tie and wearing glasses, eating lunch by himself at McDonalds. A mother and her young son kept looking at him, talking about him to each other. Finally as they got up to leave, they approached Gary and the woman said, "My son thinks you're Super Man." (you know, Clark Kent)

Gary's reply? "I am!"

a frequent occurrence with us;
we laugh every day

celebrating our commitment to each other

Happy Birthday, Honey. As we often say to each other,

"If not you, nobody!"

Until next time, grace and peace.

This is the day the Lord has made,

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

  6. I just noticed: "If not you, nobody..." That is absolutely a fantastic quote. I love it. Put that in your book when you write it.
